Origin and history
Parisian floors from the age of Haussmann
Between 1853 and 1870, Haussmann rebuilt Paris for Napoleon III, replacing medieval streets with wide boulevards, parks and squares. The city we know today is the result.
These floors were salvaged from buildings built or renovated in that period. They are old growth French oak, aged gracefully over more than a century, and the patina and wear on each plank are the real thing, which modern reproductions cannot copy.
